Papeete,Tahiti Tour of Island in 4x4 Truck

On May 3, 2008, we docked at our final South Pacific port before heading
on our four day trek crossing the Pacific Ocean to the Hawaiian Islands.

Here we took a private tour with Patrick's Tours touring the mountains around
Papeete in a 4x4 open air truck riding on rough, dirt roads through villages and
amazing scenery! We saw waterfalls, lush tropical plants, blue-eyed fresh water
eels, and we even waded in a mountain stream!

The highlight of the day for me was when we returned to the ship to see a 
folkloric show performed by local Tahitian singers and dancers! They were fabulous!

We had a great day in Papeete as you can see in our slideshow!
